Scholarships

Future Rhythm offers 7 scholarships per year, compiled of different training programs during 3 different seasons of the year, Winter, Summer, & Fall.

To Be Eligible For a Future Rhythm Scholarship You Must....
1. Have Ambition to Succeed in a Career in Audio Production.
2. Be a U.S. Citizen.
3. Have Financial Need.
4. Not Be in Default on an Education Loan.
5. Posses Basic Computer Skills.
6. Exhibit a Coherent Understanding of What Becoming an Audio Producer Entails.

To Apply For a Future Rhythm Scholarship You Must Submit an Application Packet that Includes the Following....
1. Complete the Application in its Entirety.
2. Submit Two Letters of Recommendations.
3. Submit a Demo CD of Any Work that Pertains to Any Involvement you’ve had With Music/Audio Production. (optional)

Winter scholarships are attended between January and April.

Summer scholarships are attended between May and August.

Fall scholarships are attended between September and December.

Though scholarship seasons are broken into 4 month sections, it is between Future Rhythm and the scholarship award winner to determine if the program will be taken over the entire 4 months or in as quick a time period as possible, which can be as little as 4 weeks.

To qualify for a summer scholarship, the application packet is due by March 1st. The scholarship award winner will be notified by April 1st.

To qualify for a fall scholarship, the application packet is due by July 1st. The scholarship award winner will be notified by August 1st.

To qualify for a winter scholarship, the application packet is due by November 1st. The scholarship award winner will be notified by December 1st.

Future Rhythm training is located in Santa Clara, CA, part of the San Francisco
Bay Area. The individuals awarded with a scholarship will be responsible for any travel and/or lodging costs that the individual may need to attend training.

Below is the details of the 3 different training programs that have scholarships available. Future Rhythm reserves the right to review this scholarship program and to make changes, including termination of the program, at any time

Music Producer Professional Certificate (3 Scholarships available per year)
The full scholarship is applied to the tuition and books in this program. This program is valued at $5,495. The individual awarded with this scholarship will also be given a Digidesign Mbox 2 Mini Pro Tools System valued at $329. Any travel, lodging, or additional services required for class attendance or the passing of exams are not included. A scholarship for this program is awarded once in the winter, summer, and fall.

The 8 classes in this program includes…

Intro to Digital Audio & Music Theory, Basics of Recording & Engineering, Pro Tools 101, Pro Tools 110, Producing Music with Reason, Pro Tools 201, Pro Tools 210M, and Mixing Fundamentals with Waves.

In addition to the Future Rhythm Music Producer Certificate, Industry Certification from Digidesign as a Pro Tools Operator in Music Production and from Waves as a Mixing Professional can be obtained in this program.

Audio for Video Post Producer Professional Certificate (2 Scholarships available per year)

The full scholarship is applied to the tuition and books in this program. This program is valued at $5,695. The individual awarded with this scholarship will also be given a Digidesign Mbox 2 Mini Pro Tools System valued at $329. Any travel, lodging, or additional services required for class attendance or the passing of exams are not included. A scholarship for this program is awarded once in the winter and once in the fall.

In addition to the Future Rhythm Audio for Video Post Producer Certificate, Industry Certification from Digidesign as a Pro Tools Operator in Audio Post Production, from Apple as a Final Cut Pro video editing Level 1 Certified Professional, and from Waves as a Mixing Professional can be obtained in this program.

Pro Tools Music Production Certificate (2 Scholarships available per year)

The full scholarship is applied to the tuition and books in this program. This program is valued at $2,995. The individual awarded with this scholarship will also be given a Digidesign Mbox 2 Mini Pro Tools System valued at $329. Any travel, lodging, or additional services required for class attendance or the passing of exams are not included. A scholarship for this program is awarded once in the summer and once in the fall.

The 4 classes in this program includes…

Pro Tools 101, Pro Tools 110, Pro Tools 201, and Pro Tools 210M.

Industry Certification from Digidesign as a Pro Tools Operator in Music Production can be obtained in this program.
