The Pro Tools Post-production Operator Program trains students to operate a Digidesign Pro Tools System in a professional music and/or post-production environment as an assistant engineer or entry-level editor.

  • Work with MIDI Tools
  • Understand Synchronization of External Gear with Pro Tools

Exam Requirements for Certification

Upon successful completion of these classes, the student will qualify to take the computer class exams for the 101, 110, & 201 classes. Once these exams are passed, the student will be eligible to take the Digidesign Pro Tools Music & Post-production Operator exams. Exams are scheduled by appointment once required classes are completed.

Equipment

Each student will be provided with a Pro Tools workstation for use during lecture/demonstration time. A Pro Tools Workstation consists of a computer (Mac or PC) Pro Tools Software, Digidesign Hardware (LE or HD) various computer plug-ins, a MIDI Controller, and Headphones. A Pro Tools HD system will be provided and may be shared by up to 2 students for exercise projects in the 200 class series.
