Pro Tools 310P

This course focuses on the advanced operation of Digidesign Pro Tools HD and ICON in a professional audio post-production environment. This course will give a technical insight into Pro Tools both from a hardware and software perspective. Expert level training and certification prepares the student with the necessary skills and speed to run a Pro Tools system in professional studio environment. You will gain hands-on experience through a series of class exercise project files. Upon successful completion of this course, and the passing of all previous exams, the student will qualify to take the Digidesign Pro Tools Post Production Expert exams.

Prerequisites

Basic Computer Skills, Pro Tools 110, Pro Tools 201, and Pro Tools 210P Required. Pro Tools 101, Intro to Digital Audio, the Basics of Recording and Engineering, Producing with Reason, and Mixing Fundamentals are Recommended.

Equipment

Each student will be provided with a Pro Tools HD workstation for use during class.  A Pro Tools Workstation consists of a computer (Mac or PC), Pro Tools Software, Digidesign HD Hardware, Avid Media Station, various computer plug-ins, a MIDI controller, and headphones. Additional Digidesign gear like MIDI interfaces, preamps, and control surfaces will be demonstrated and used by students.
