Pro Tools 101 is focused on covering the basic Pro Tools principles, giving you what you need to complete a Pro Tools project—from initial setup to final mixdown. Whether your project involves recording of live instruments, MIDI sequencing of software synthesizers, or audio looping, this course will give you the basic skills to succeed and provides an essential foundation for future Pro Tools certification classes. You will gain hands-on experience through class exercise project files.

  • Importing audio and video

Prerequisites

Basic Computer Skills Required. Intro to Digital Audio and the Basics of Recording and Engineering Recommended.

Equipment

Each student will be provided with a Pro Tools Workstation to use during class. A Pro Tools Workstation consists of a computer (Mac or PC), Pro Tools software, Digidesign hardware (LE or HD), various computer plug-ins, a MIDI controller, and headphones.
