Exam Requirements for Certification

Upon successful completion of these classes, the student will qualify to take computer class exams for all the classes, except for Producing with Reason in which the student turns in a project submission. Once these exams are passed, the student will have earned a Music Producer Professional Certificate, and 2 industry certificates, one as a Digidesign Pro Tools Music Production Operator and the other as a certified Waves Professional. Exams are scheduled by appointment once required classes are completed. Exam fees may apply.

Equipment

Each student will be provided with a computer workstation for use during lecture/demonstration time. A Pro Tools Workstation which consists of a computer (Mac or PC) Pro Tools Software, Digidesign Hardware (LE or HD) various computer plug-ins including Reason and Waves, a MIDI Controller, and Headphones are provided for use during all Pro Tools, Mixing, and Reason classes. A Pro Tools HD system will be provided and may be shared by up to 2 students for exercise projects in the 200 class series.
