Exam Requirements for Certification:

Upon successful completion of these classes, the student will qualify to take computer class exams for all the classes, except for Producing with Reason in which the student turns in a project submission. There are also hands on exams for the 300 Series Pro Tools classes. Once all exams are passed, the student will have earned a Multi-Media Producer Professional Certificate, and 8 industry certificates. The industry certificates which can be obtained are the following; Digidesign Pro Tools Music Production Operator, Digidesign Pro Tools Post-production Operator, Digidesign Pro Tools Music Production Expert, Digidesign Pro Tools Post-production Expert, Certified Waves Professional, Logic Pro Level 1 Certification, Final Cut Pro Level 1 Certification, and Final Cut Pro Level 2 Certification. Exams are scheduled by appointment once required classes are completed. Exam fees may apply.

Equipment

Each student will be provided with a computer workstation for use during lecture/demonstration time. A Pro Tools Workstation which consists of a computer (Mac or PC) Pro Tools Software, Digidesign Hardware (LE or HD) various computer plug-ins including Reason and Waves, a MIDI Controller, and Headphones are provided for use during all Pro Tools, Mixing, and Reason classes. A Pro Tools HD system will be provided and may be shared by up to 2 students for exercise projects in the 200 class series. . A Pro Tools HD system, control surface, and other Digidesign Hardware will be provided for exercise projects in the 300 class series. Avid Media Station is provided for use in post-production classes. Logic Pro software is provided for use in the Logic Pro 101 class. Final Cut Pro software is provided for use in the Final Cut Pro 101 and 300 classes.
