Brian White
A Digidesign Certified Expert Instructor, Brian is co-owner and head of training at Future Rhythm. Brian White has over a decade of experience in music production, digital audio and recording. As a producer, trainer and consultant, Brian has worked with thousands of individuals and corporate clients worldwide, stretching the most out of the latest technology and pushing his digital workflow to new heights. Brian is also a founding partner of RxBx Music, a production team whose work ranges from independent to major label artists, television and film companies, and international clients world wide. In addition to his rigorous training and production schedule, Brian is a Lynda.com author and pens a weekly column on all things Pro Tools at audioMIDI.com. Scott Church
Scott Church is one of Future Rhythm's Digidesign Authorized Pro Tools instructors. He began his work in the industry at Steinberg North America in 1997 where he helped facilitate training and educational events such as Club Cubase, and developed Creating Dance Music with Cubase VST, ReBirth and ReCycle!, an interactive instructional CD-ROM. Scott helped launch audioMIDI.com, which has since become one of the leading on-line retailers of computer music technology. Scott is a founding member of Connect For Education, a principal developer of on-line music and language courses used at esteemed universities and educational institutions. Scott has worked with recognized industry-leaders, including Steinberg, audioMIDI.com, Guitar Center, M-Audio/Propellerhead, Obedia, NARAS (The GRAMMY Foundation)/Electronic Arts and T.C. Electronic. Currently, Scott is working at Digidesign as the Pro Tools Software Strategist.
Peter Thomas
Peter Thomas is one of Future Rhythm’s certified Digidesign Pro Tools Instructors. With over 10 years of experience working in the music scene, Peter brings his expertise as a professional musician, recording engineer, and instructor to Future Rhythm. Peter started his involvement in music as a drummer. Peter has had the opportunity to perform alongside some of Los Angeles' finest jazz figures, as well as rock and pop acts. In addition to teaching Pro Tools at Future Rhythm, Peter also teaches the Basics of Recording & Engineering Class. Peter does freelancing both as a recording engineer and as a drummer, performs with several groups in the Bay Area, and works for Activision on the popular Guitar Hero video game series.
Brian Trifon
Brian Trifon is one of Future Rhythm’s Pro Tools Instructors. After graduating from USC’s Thorton School of Music, Brian worked as a music programmer and guitarist for renown electronic artist BT. In his time at BT’s studio, Brian contributed music and programming for several films, TV shows, and video games, including Stealth (Sony, 2005), Catch and Release (Sony, 2007), Kevin Hill (UPN, 2004) and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005 (EA Sports). Brian also played guitar, provided additional programming and toured in support of BT’s most recent studio album, This Binary Universe (DTS, 2006). In January 2007, Brian founded Trifonic, a music group that specializes in cutting-edge electronic and alternative music with his brother Laurence. Trifonic has licensed music to CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (CBS, 2007), Playstation Home (Sony, 2008) and several other advertisements and TV shows.
George Mauro
George Mauro is one of Future Rhythm's Apple Final Cut Pro certified instructors. George has over 25 years of experience in all aspects of television and video production and post including, including sound, lighting, camera, and directing. He is a seasoned video instructor in both Final Cut Pro and Avid. George worked for Avid in the early ‘90s when it all started. He helped get "Toy Story”' to Disney after coming to San Francisco to ‘pitch' it to Disney. The video was cut using the voices of the stars and the storyboard artwork. George has worked with many leaders in the industry including CMX, Grass Valley, Sony, and Ampex. He holds a BA in TV/Radio Production Management from Fredonia State University with grad studies from Syracuse University.
Laurence Trifon
Laurence Trifon teaches Future Rhythm’s “Success in the Music Industry” class. He both manages and is a member of the electronic music group “Trifonic.” The duos’ first track was the top vote getter in WIRED Magazine’s 2005 Freestyle remix contest. Shortly after, he began licensing their music to the hit TV show CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (CBS, 2007), Playstation Home (Sony, 2008) and several other advertisements and TV shows. Laurence writes several music industry blogs for MusicThinkTank.com, NewMusicIdeas.com, and Hypebot.com. He graduated from Stanford University and prior to managing Trifonic worked as a business
consultant.
Charlie Hieger
Charlie Hieger is one of Future Rhythm’s music production instructors. He is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boson, MA, where he majored in professional music with an emphasis on song writing, guitar, and music theory. As a song writer, performer, and producer Charlie connects with many musical genres and works with a diverse range of styles. Charlie has worked as a sound editor in an audio post-production house in Hollywood and done audio engineering with many artists including Oakland rapper Richie Rich. He has played guitar and sang on several TV ads and also writes and performs music with many successful gigging bands. He is also certified by Digidesign in Pro Tools.
