Pro Tools 201

This course covers the core concepts and skills you need to operate a Digidesign Pro Tools HD system in a professional studio environment. Although the focus is on Pro Tools HD, many of the concepts learned apply to all Pro Tools systems, including LE and M-Powered. You will gain hands-on experience through a series of class exercise project files.

Prerequisites

Basic Computer Skills and Pro Tools 110 Required. Pro Tools 101, Intro to Digital Audio, and the Basics of Recording and Engineering Recommended.

Equipment

Each student will be provided with a Pro Tools workstation for use during lecture/demonstration time.  A Pro Tools Workstation consists of a computer (Mac or PC), Pro Tools software, Digidesign hardware (LE or HD) various computer plug-ins, a MIDI controller, and headphones. A Pro Tools HD system will be provided and may be shared by up to 2 students for exercise projects.
